Outward Wines Description

Bassi Vineyard is a coastal site, located approximately 1.2 miles from the ocean near the town of Avila Beach. The vineyard is planted on marine-derived sandstone and sandy loam soils. It is farmed organically with biodynamic practices and inputs. The Dijon clone 115 Pinot from the block that we source was planted in 2001 on a southwest-facing hillside and is exposed to the cool wind and fog from the Pacific.

Our 2023 Bassi Vineyard Pinot Noir packs a punch. Generous aromatics of both unique herbal and intense dark fruit tones leap from the glass. A symphony of eucalyptus, black cherry, fig, and sage evolve and sing with some time in the glass, while supple tannin and integrated acidity dance through the palate.
